Finishing up South America

This week marks the end of our three chapter unit on South America. We will be having a test this week over the Big Ideas of all three chapters. Make sure you are studying your map of South America and the notes you have taken.

Finishing South America

This week we are finishing our studies of South America. We will be learning about the countries on the Pacific side of South America, Chile, Bolivia, Peru, and Ecuador. Do you remember which ancient civilization lived high up in the Andes Mountains of Peru?

Short week

A reminder that Thursday of this week is a half day, and there is no school at Fegely Friday. Also, next week is Spring Break.

ISTEP testing this week

We are doing ISTEP testing this week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Here are some things to keep in mind so you can do your best:
Get a good nights sleep.
Eat a good breakfast each morning.
Make up your mind to do the very best you can on the test.
Show all work.
Bring a calculator, as you can use it on portions of the math test.
If you finish early check your work over and make corrections.
Read all writing prompts at least twice to be sure you understand them.

Field Trip this week

Inauguration Day!

This week involves a historic day in American history, as our country greets it's first African American President. We will follow the Inauguration coverage on TV and discuss your views on this historic event. After you leave school on Tuesday I hope you continue to watch the Inauguration coverage at home.

Middle Ages

We are currently studying the Middle Ages. We will be having a group of speakers come in on Wednesday, January 14th to give a presentation on what life was like during the Middle Ages. Also, remember there is no school on Friday due to a teachers records day.

In the "Save As" window, click the desktop icon in the left column
Double click "My Computer"
Double click "Vol1 on Feg G"
Double click "Teachers" folder
Double click "cheimberg" or "awelch"
Double click your mod
Put your own name, first and last, as the file name
Click Save
