Classroom Rules

Come to class with a positive attitude and a desire to do your best.
Turn in your assignment on time, the day it is due.
Be in your seat on time everyday.
Bring all of the necessary materials with you to class.
No food, drinks, or gum are allowed in the classroom.
Clean up after yourself. Return materials you have used, and throw away any garbage you produce.
Treat your classmates with respect.
Show a substitute teacher with the respect you would show me.
Have pride in yourself and reflect that pride in your actions.

Materials

Your social studies binder. This is a three ring binder that is divided into the following sections:
Classroom Rules, Concepts, Vocabulary, Notes, Returned Tests, Quizzes and Homework
More than one pencil.
Paper
Colored pencils

Grading

Your grade is made up of your Homework, Class Projects, Indicator Assessments, Quiz, and Test grades, broken down in the following manner:

Homework = 10%
Quizzes = 10%
Tests = 35%
Class Projects = 35%
Indicator Assessments = 10%

There will also be opportunities each grading period to do extra credit work.
